Carlton Professional has announced the judging panel for SEBTA 2011.
The panel includes Tiffany Tarrant. Tiffany Tarrant originally trained as a beauty therapist and hairdresser in 1987 before opening her own salon in 1989. After completing her Advanced Hairdressing qualification in 1990 and her Certificate in Education in 1991, she was offered a full time teaching position to help set up a new hairdressing and beauty provision at Amersham and Wycombe College.
Tiffany joined Habia in 2001 as a Development Manager in the Standards and Qualifications team where she has had a number of roles and responsibilities.
This has included the development of support materials, reviewing new qualifications and assessment materials, working closely and building relationships with all the industries, Awarding Bodies and regulatory bodies and working and supporting Habia International partners to train them in assessment and verification procedures.
One of her key roles is in standards development, reviewing and revising existing standards and developing new Occupational Standards in all the hairdressing and beauty sectors.
Josephine Wackett has more than 40 years of experience managing and teaching in the spa and beauty therapy industry worldwide and is committed to raising standards. She has examined at 125 plus colleges, in 29 countries throughout all 5 continents; lectured at conferences and congresses and presented workshops - from Amsterdam to Singapore and beyond.
As a driving member of various professional bodies, including Board Member for Education of CIDESCO, she imparts her considerable knowledge and skill in this continually evolving wellness field. As a BISA Council member she sees many opportunities for continued industry growth accompanied by quality and high standards.
Currently guiding the Ananda Spa Institute India towards the global reputation its company flagship spa, `Ananda in the Himalayas` enjoys, she is developing and upgrading training courses for future salon and spa managers.
The judging panel is completed by Angie Sawicki. Chairman of the judges, one of The Carlton Group’s Trainers.
Now in its fifth year, SEBTA offers students, colleges and lecturers the opportunity to celebrate excellence in electrotherapy in the beauty industry via this unique national student competition. The Student Electrotherapy Beauty Therapist Award (SEBTA) is open to all Level 3 students, or above.
